MAHADISCOM JA & AE Exam Pattern 2015

Examination will include multiple choice objective type questions.  Paper comprises of 130 questions of total 150 marks. There will not be any negative marking for wrong answer. Total time given to the applicant to complete the exam paper is 2 hours. There is no descriptive paper in this exam. Question will be come from the following section:  Professional Knowledge, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Marathi Language.

MAHADISCOM Junior Assistant & Assistant Engineer Exam Sylabus

Professional Knowledge: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions will be asked on the subject/discipline concerned as per the qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules and related to the trade/profession under the several posts.
Reasoning : Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning.
Quantitative Aptitude: Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages, Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which has to be focused.
Marathi Language : Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.

Pay Scale:
Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 8,860/- per month (i.e. Rs. 8,040/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates only) in the scale of Rs. 8,040 – 410 – 9270 – 500 – 11,270 – 550 – 13,470 – 650 – 15,420 – 720 – 16,140 – 990 – 20,100 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately Rs. 21,419/-.

Eligibility Criteria:
Age (as on 31-07-2015): Between 18 and 35 years. Candidates must have been born not earlier than 01-07-1980 and not later than 31-07-1997 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply.
Selection Process: 
Selection will be through Online Examination and Interview. The Online Examination will be for 200 marks.
