As announced by IBPS a few weeks ago, there will be a new exam pattern followed this year with the introduction of the two tier exam – Prelims + Mains – similar to the SBI PO and IBPS PO exams. The big surprise, however, is the absence of the English language section in the Prelims exam for both Assistant & Scale 1 Officer. The Prelims exam, for both positions, will test a candidate on Reasoning & Quantitative/Numerical Ability only.
