IBPS SO 2016 Exam – IBPS SO 2016 Recruitment process has been started and exam to be held in online mode by 30 January 2016. The entrance exam will be the first step towards the recruitment process; after which the interview shall be held for all the exam qualified candidates. Before any candidate applies for the exam of IBPS SO 2016, he/she should confirm the eligibility for the exam and recruitment on the basis of following norms of eligibility which have been declared by the IBPS. If any person is found to be ineligible at any later stage; he/she shall be rejected at that stage only.

IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria 2016

For IBPS SO 2016 Exam, You have to satisfy the following eligibility norms. This is as per rule. At any stage, if you will find ineligible then you will have to bear the consequences.
Age Limit – The candidate who wants to apply for the exam and recruitment process must have age in between 20 to 30 years.
Age Relaxation –   There will be some relaxation in age of reserved category applicants:
  • ST/SC: 5 Years
  • OBC: 3 Years
  • PwD: 10 Years
  • Original Domiciles of Kashmir, 1984 Riot Affected People and EX Servicemen (Other Military Persons): 5 Years
IBPS SO Education Qualification

  • For Marketing Officer: The candidate must have the master degree in marketing (MBA)
  • For Agriculture Officer: The candidate must be graduated in Agriculture/Horticulture/ Agro – Engineering/ Agro – Forestry
  • For I.T. Officer: The candidate must have B.Tech or M.Tech degree in IT/CSE/ECE/Telecommunication
  • For Law Officer: The candidate must be graduated with the degree of Law (LLB)
  • For H.R. Officer: The candidate must be graduated and post graduated in Social Work/ Labor Law/ H.R./HRD

Examination will include multiple choice objective type questions.  Paper comprises of 130 questions of total 150 marks. There will not be any negative marking for wrong answer. Total time given to the applicant to complete the exam paper is 2 hours. There is no descriptive paper in this exam. Professional Knowledge: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions will be asked on the subject/discipline concerned as per the qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules and related to the trade/profession under the several posts.

Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 8,860/- per month (i.e. Rs. 8,040/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates only) in the scale of Rs. 8,040 – 410 – 9270 – 500 – 11,270 – 550 – 13,470 – 650 – 15,420 – 720 – 16,140 – 990 – 20,100 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately Rs. 21,419/-.

Download IBPS PO (Preliminary Exam) Admit Card 2015 Now 

IBPS PO (Prelims Exam) Admit Card 2015 has been released today  ( i.e. 21 September 2015) by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. All the registered candidates going to appear in the IBPS PO Prelims Exam in October can now download their admit card via online mode. All the candidates will have to necessarily bring their IBPS PO Admit Card     ( hard  copy) while appearing in the Preliminary Exam in October. Candidates will have to input certain details for downloading their admit card.

Steps to Download the IBPS PO Admit Card 2015

  • Firstly, the candidates are requested to visit the official website of IBPS, i.e., www.ibps.in as theIBPS PO 2015 admit card will only be released on the website itself.
  • Secondly, candidate need to locate the link on the homepage of the website to download the IBPS PO Prelims Admit Card.

  • On clicking the following link, a mew window will open where the candidate has to enter the required details such as Registration Number or Roll Number and Date of Birth or Password.

Important Points to be Remembered

Details of IBPS PO Exam Venue and Timing will be mentioned on the IBPS PO Call letter along with the personal information. Hence, candidates having no admit card will be barred from appearing in the IBPS PO Examination.

IBPS PO 2015 Exam Pattern-

The IBPS PO 2015 examination is a two tier exam which can be described as firstly the prelims will be conducted and candidates who become successful in the prelims will get the opportunity to appear in the mains exams. Only IBPS PO Admit Card 2015 holders will be able to appear in the examination. 
The duration taken by both the Preliminary and Main Examination will be 1 hour and 2 hours respectively. Both the test will contain objective type question based on Multiple Choice Questions pattern only. The whole exam pattern carries negative marking for each wrong answers marked by the candidates in any examination. This means that the candidate will receive a penalty of one -fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question. However, there is no penalty for the questions that are not attempted or left by the candidates.
